Stickii Club: August Cute Pack "Writing to Atlantis"

STICKIIclub is a sticker subscription that sends out fun-filled envelopes of kawaii stickers! They offer three different styles of subscription packs from Cute [Kawaii/Warm/Pastel], Retro [Vintage/Earthy/Nostalgic], and Pop [Bright/Trendy/Cool] styles of stickers for $10/month each ($1 delivery in the US, $1.75 delivery for Canada, and $2.50 delivery everywhere else)! Each monthly pack comes with 5+ sticker sheets (some are exclusive sheets to Stickii!), 1 sticker flakes bag, and 2-3 stationery items all in their very own STICKII STORAGE!  Each month is a different theme for all styles, which they usually do sneak peeks of on their IG account. Subscribe to one style or multiple styles, it's up to you; it’s a must have subscription for sticker lovers (like myself!) :)

This month’s cute pack tempted me to switch from my usual retro pack all because of the sneak peak that they posted on IG! When I saw the mermaid paperclip, I knew that I had to switch for this month to get the cute pack! (Although, their retro pack was just as awesome, but come on, MERMAIDS!) The theme for the cute pack this month is “Writing to Atlantis”.
The first thing that I am always excited to see are their sticker flakes. I love sticker flakes and these sticker flakes did not disappoint! I love how they are sheer and that they are ocean themed! Super excited to use these ones for sure!
These three sticker sheets are Stickii Club exclusive sheets! I absolutely adore the mermaid sheet! I just love mermaids, but the other two are just as cute! (I am such an ocean child, for sure!)
These next three ocean sheets are just WOW! Check out the jelly stickers (far right)! How cute are these! Can’t wait to use them to decorate my letters/postcards/journals/planners!
I can always use bookmarks! (I am a self-entitled bookworm! And I do not believe in folding the pages of my books-gotta keep those book fairies alive! 😊) And those patches and paperclips that they started to include in their packs are just the cutest!
And, as always, I appreciate that they send their stickers in a storage sheet now! Love it!
This month’s Cute Pack did not disappoint! It was a hard decision to switch to the cute pack for this month because all the theme’s this month were just so amazing, but I am glad that I received this pack! All the mermaid and ocean themed stickers that I got has got me wishing that I could have a REAL penpal from Atlantis! 😊
If you would like to join me in this fun monthly subscription, please clickhere to start your subscription today! Let me know which pack (or packs) you decided to choose...it's so hard to choose just one! :)

The Original Bulu Box: August 2018

The Bulu Box is a lifestyle health box that caters to those who are curious enough to try out different dietary and lifestyle changes! This monthly subscription box comes with at least 5 (usually more!) health care samples. They also send you plenty of coupon/promo codes that you can use and they also give you a percentage off their website if you are a subscription costumer! They also have a survey system where you can review the samples that you receive and each survey you submit will enter you to a chance to win $150 to use on their website! Also, by completely these surveys, it helps the team pick out your next samples in your box for the next month! The more reviews that you do, the more the box will be catered to you and the more points you will have to redeem!

There are two boxes that you can choose. One box is the original Bulu Box which features “great new products in sports nutrition, immunity, digestive health, wellness and more!” It is a box that will help you discover the best “new vitamins, supplements, healthy snacks and so much more.” The second box is the Weight Loss Box. “The Weight Loss Box is a great way to find new products to help you in your weight loss journey. This box includes fat burners, meal replacements, healthy snack alternatives and so much more!” Each box is $10/month with discount deals the more months you subscribe for at a time.

I subscribe to the Original Bulu Box and this month’s Bulu Box was filled with lots of dietary supplements, but I’m not complaining! I like to explore new health products that I could possible like!
I also got several coupon/promo codes to use by Fylo, Yum-V’s (with samples!) and some Nana Flakes (with samples, too!)

As I am writing this I have a confession to make. I saw these cookies and I was feeling like the munchies and so yes, I may or may not be munching on these goodies! They are sugar free and made with natural ingredients and you get two in a pack!

I received two sample packets of Shapeoplogist’s BurnBlend, a sample packet of Flyby’s vegetarian dietary supplements and a packet of Sambuol’s Black Elderberry dietary supplement gummies.

I am curious about these Ceru-BeautiPlus dietary supplement capsules and I can always use an energy shot (by Yin & Yang Energy)!

I wasn’t too excited about any one particular product this month, but these are good samples to have to test them out! I think I will bring the energy shot with me to school incase I need a quick shot of energy! That would help a lot!

The Inky Box Mini: August

I came home to my lovely teal package of the Inky Box mini! It came at just the right time since I am moving and I have packed away all my lettering supplies (pens, paints, brushes, etc.) and I am itching to experiment with some new lettering pens!

The Inky Box is a subscription for a “monthly selection of lettering goodness!” Monthly, you will receive a “selection of tools, supplies, practice sheets and prints by your favorite artists. This box caters to hand letterings. This box sells out fast, so when you see that they have openings, I suggest you go for it! There are two options: 1) The Inky Box Mini for $14.99+s/h or the 2) Inky Box for $35+s/h.

One day I hope to get the bigger Inky Box, but for now I can only afford the Mini, which is, in my opinion, so worth it! I love how it introduces me to pens and lettering supplies that I otherwise would have never known about. Being new to the lettering world, I appreciate this box and the knowledge that the curator gives out.

This month I receive 4 new brush pens to add to my collection of pens! I have been wanting to try the Prismacolor Scholar Brush Markers, so I’m excited about those; and also the Sakura Pigma Medium Brush Pen as well! And here are the awesome pens that I got!
Copic Ciao Marker in Peony

Prismacolor Scholar Brush marker in Green and Blue
Sakura Pigma Medium Brush Pen in #39923
I also got a link to download some practice sheets by The Inky Hand as well as a coupon code to Her Hazel Eyes.
Everything I got in this month's Inky Box!
I knew that I had so much to do (after-all, I am in the middle of a move! So stressful!), but I also knew that I needed a much needed break so I decided to mess around with my new pens.

Copic Ciao Marker in Peony
Trying out the Copic Ciao Marker was very interesting. It is duel; one side seems more like chiseled-tipped marker and the other a thick brush pen. I’m not too sure that I like the feel of this; it’s going to take a lot of use to get used to this one. And look

oh no! Major bleed through!!
when I turned the page of my journal for a new page, I noticed that the ink had leaked through to the other side of the paper. No Bueno.
Prismacolor Scholar Brush markers in Blue and Green
I am, though, really love the way the Prismacolor Scholar Brush Markers! They feel smooth and they are easier to handle than other pens that I have tried.  So, I just might look for the whole set of this pen and we will see from there!
Sakura Pigma Medium Brush Pen
The Sakura Pigma Medium Brush Pen is also a plus in my book. I love how it writes and I love the flow of it!

Messing around with my new pens!
Well, I really loved this month’s mini subscription and I plan on staying subscribed to them! If you would like to subscribe to this awesome box of lettering supplies please feel free to click here. (Yes, it is connected to my personal referral link; thank you! 😊) I highly recommend this subscription for all new letters out there only because I know from personal experience that thisbox has helped me discover new lettering goodies that I have come to love. Mahalo!

Sashka Co. Glass-beaded Bracelets

Scrolling through my social media account I kept coming across the Sashka Co. glass beaded bracelets, so one day I decided to check them out. Upon light research I read that these glass bracelets are handcrafted “with love by artisans in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal.” These bracelets are fair trade; “Fair trade is best known for producer getting a fair price for their goods.” I like how over 70% of the profits that they make from these glass bracelets go back to Nepal. This fair trade “partners are focused on gender equality and empowering women.” I like that, so I decided to purchase some of their bracelets to support this cause.

Info cards and a sticker sent with my purchase
On their site, they have so many beautifully crafted bracelets (and a fair amount of earrings and necklaces as well). Each of their bracelets are carefully handmade bead by bead by the artisans in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal. There are so many different styles to choose from that I decided to go with some mystery bracelets for them to surprise me with. The ones that I received are beautiful and I couldn’t have chosen better for myself, although I can see myself purchasing more in the future. They are gorgeous, and it goes to a good cause- can’t go wrong with that!
My Mystery Bracelets revealed!
Shipping was fast (FREE SHIPPING all orders $25+ and it shipped from Florida to Hawai'i for me). The bracelets got to me within a week and I like how they sent me several emails, one was to thank me for my purchase, another was to let me know that my purchase was shipped off and lastly a final notice to inform me that my purchase was delivered! And when I got home they were waiting for me…in a little bag with their logo decorating the outside.  Each bracelet was placed in its own transparent blue bag with an information card.
At first the bracelets were a bit difficult to roll on, however they did claim that one size fits all and that you just have to keep rolling the bracelets over your hand and they will adjust to a perfect fit for your wrist…and they were right. Once they stretched over your hand they fit perfectly on your wrist. Plus, there is lifetime warranty on these bracelets; if your bracelet breaks, they will replace it. That’s nice. 😊

Mystery Bracelet #1: Solid Deep Brown (currently rocking this one!)
This first bracelet is a solid brown. I am currently wearing it next to my 4Ocean #STOPOVERFISHING bracelet and I love how it pairs well with it!
Mystery Bracelet #2: White Bracelet with Pink and Purple Accents
Pink is one of my top favorite colors and so I was excited to receive this beautiful white bracelet with pinks and purple accents.

Mystery Bracelet #3: Two-toned Teal Colored with Copper Accents
I was eyeing their Beach Day Collection set and it looks like this mystery bracelet is one from the set! I like is so much…it really does remind me of the ocean. I love the teal and the accents of the copper. Although I LOVE all the bracelets I received, this might be my favorite of the bunch!

Mystery Bracelet #4: Two-toned blue bracelet with breaks of Yellow
The final mystery bracelet is another gorgeous two-toned blue bracelet with breaks of yellow glass beads. Wow, the pattern is so beautiful!

I am very happy and please with my 4 mystery bracelets! I believe that they picked well for me! I can see myself purchasing more in the future as well as purchasing some as a gift for friends! There is a wide variety of patterns that you can choose from and they are all so very beautiful and worth it (in more ways than one!). I am tempted now to look at the earrings and necklaces.
Rocking all 4 bracelets! A bit snug, but I've noticed they loosen up to fit more comfortably the longer you wear them.
If you would like to purchase some for yourself and support this cause please click here to go to their page. Each bracelet is roughly $20-30 (+s/h) each, and there is an option where you can buy them in a set. The mystery bracelet was $14 (+s/h) each and I am happy with the ones that they picked out for me.
Love my Sashka Co. bracelets!

4Ocean: STOP OVER FISHING

4Ocean is a global movement actively removing trash from the ocean and coastlines while inspiring individuals to work together for cleaner oceans, one pound at a time…Made from recycled materials, every bracelet purchased funds the removal of 1 pound of trash from the ocean and coastlines.” And each month they team up with another ocean-based movement to help raise awareness about their cause as well as help donate to their cause.

Although they have a blue colored “original” bracelet, they also have color coordinated cause bracelets as limited-edition bracelets that they release every month. These limited-edition bracelets are only available throughout the month and a percentage of the proceeds from this bracelet will go to the cause that they have teamed up with.

There are several donation options on their site. You can make a single donation for the original bracelet ($20+s/h) and/or the limited bracelet of the month ($20+s/h), or you can (like me) donate monthly (subscribe) to their limited-edition bracelet ($20+s/h). If you subscribe to them, every month you will receive the next month’s limited-edition bracelet a few weeks before it’s release date.

This month they have teamed up with SeaLegacy, which is an organization that "combines decades of experience in conservation, photography, and communications, with the latest digital and social technologies, to built a healthy future for out oceans. For this month of August, they are working together  to come up with solution too STOP OVER FISHING.

#STOPOVERFISHING 4OCEAN
"For thousands of years, humans have been fishing the seemingly endless supply of fish in the world's oceans to sustain our ever-growing population. However, modern fishing techniques can wipe out entire fish population and now we are seeing the effects o that sustained pressure.

In addition, when this fishing gear becomes too old to be effective, it is not disposed of properly or is simply cut into the open ocean, only to end up as a death trap for countless other marine animal species like whales, sea turtles, porpoises, and sharks." (Part of what was written on the card that they sent me with the bracelet.)

This month's bracelet is red. I do not see the bracelet I receive as something I purchased. I see it more as something that represents my support for this movement.

Not only do I support this movement, but I also try my best to do my part. Even though 4Ocean has organized groups worldwide to help clean up our oceans, I like to do my part by always bringing a bag with me whenever I go to the beach so that I can pick up trash that I see. I am also in the process of changing my lifestyle in trying to use less one-use plastics and being aware of myself whenever I go anywhere, not only to the beach, to pick up all my belongings including any rubbish that I might have accumulated. The quote, “Leave the place better than when you first arrived” comes to mind.
If you would like to learn more about this movement and/or the movement that 4Ocean has decided to team up with this month, feel free to click here. If you would like to see if there are any organized 4Ocean cleanups that you would like to join or of you would like to donate to their movement or subscribe to them monthly, you can also click here to go to their site. Mahalo!

Introduction to Simply: CharityLove

Sunrise in Lanikai, Hawai'i (PC: myself)
Aloha! My name is Charity Love, however you can just call me Charlie. :) I live on the beautiful island of O'ahu and I am a self-entitled ocean lover. I love the ocean and I am a firm believer that my soul is connected to the ocean...or at least I like to think so. :) It's my soul place! I love sunsets, but I live for the sunrise over the water. It sets my mind to reset and makes me feel less stressed.

Sunset in Healdsburg, California (PC: myself)
I am a self-entitled LOTS of things...I am a self-entitled sticker lover, postcard lover, animal lover, book lover, planner nerd, mermaid dreamer, curious explorer, fish keeper, and the list can go on and on and on. I also love to craft and art and create. I love to explore and discover. I love to hand letter and journal. I love quotes, sayings, and verses. And I am just getting into aquascaping. (Did I mention that I am a fish keeper?! :))

Betta Fish, Sir Jupiter (PC: myself)
I also LOVE subscription boxes, envelopes, parcels, and everything in between--basically anything FUN that comes in the mail (FUN, I said, NOT bills. :)) For several years now I have been diving into the world of subscription boxes and have tried some and loved some and decided others were or were not for me. One of the (many) thing that I will post are my unboxings of these boxes and my personal opinions, reviews, and recommendations.

I also plan on posting my discovery and reviews about art products, lettering pens, and other things I find. I also would like to post up on my fish hobby. I love betta fish (I am no expert though!) and prefer keeping freshwater tanks (although, maybe in the LONG future I think that it would be fun to have a saltwater tank!) Oh and since I am a preschool teacher by profession, I think that it will be nice to post on the different activities, art, craft, games, songs and what-not that I do in my class. (I would love feedback on all these topics as well!)
